New York Senate 54 Needs a Seat at the Table
I love this region. I grew up here, went to college here, and chose to build my family here after some years away in Atlanta.
My mom was a registered nurse, and my father was a unionized teacher. We spent my early days in Honeoye before they could afford our first house in the blue-collar community of Greece outside Rochester. They worked hard to put food on the table, took the occasional family road trip, and leveraged student loans and Pell Grants to put my brother Jamie through college and me through Hobart
We lived the dream that is disappearing for millions of Americans.
I am a small business owner who has spent nearly 30 years tackling critical policy issues like water quality, climate change, healthcare access, protecting farmers, investing in businesses and empowering consumers. I fought for our region with influencers in Albany as Executive Director of both the Geneva BID and Ontario County Chamber of Commerce; and I fight for taxpayers as a current elected member of Canandaigua City Council.
And the state senate has never been more important as small communities across our district need immediate support; and as the race to autocracy in Washington requires senators like me to backstop our democracy.
Yes, this region is an incredible place to live and work but we also have very real challenges, the biggest problem is that no matter what issues concern you we don’t have a seat at the table in Albany.
My track record of electoral, advocacy and legislative victories in state capitals, Washington D.C. and internationally makes me the right candidate to successfully fight for our needs in Albany.
I hope you’ll join our campaign to help the region rise together – because together we will win.
